Legal Framework

The Company is domiciled solely in the United States of America and all hosting infrastructure is also located solely within the United States of America, and thus governed by the laws and regulations of the United States of America.

Data Collection

Our company’s overriding policy is to collect as little user information as possible to ensure a completely private and anonymous user experience when using the Service. Service's user data collection is limited to the following: Visiting our website: We employ no analytics tools anywhere on our website. Account creation: NO account is necessary to use the Service. We do have any means to create an account except for advertisers. See advertising policy for further details. Account activity: We use a randomly generated UUID to identify users. This UUID is unique to each installation of the mobile app, and is reset every time a user presses “Delete Data” within the app. The UUID will never be displayed in the app and is only used internally. We also take a user's latitude and longitude coordinates to determine where to display content on the Service. All other information is voluntarily provided by users and is retained as outlined in the “Data Retention” section below. Communicating with LiveMap: Your communications with the Service, such as private messaging, comments and any other content will never be monitored or passively scanned for keywords, unless another user reports malicious activity we may keep a copy though it is not our current practice to do so. IP Logging: LiveMap does not log the IP addresses used to access our Service and has no capacity to do so. At no time will we ever attempt to use IP addresses to identify users.

Data Use

We do have any advertising on our site. Any data that we do have will never be shared with advertisers, and will only be processed on our internal servers. All user data will never leave our servers except to be delivered to users using the mobile application. We do NOT do any analysis on the limited data we do possess.

Data Storage

All servers used in connection with the provisioning of the Service are located in the United States of America and wholly owned and operated by the Company. Only employees of the Company have access to the servers.

Data Retention

When a LiveMap user presses the “Delete Data” button within the mobile application, all traces of that user will be removed from the Service. Otherwise, all data collected for the minimum operation of the Service will be deleted within the following time frames: Pins: All pins and associated comments, votes and other data will be permanently deleted after the set expiration time of the pin. Discussions: All discussions and associated comments, votes and other data will be permanently deleted after 10 hours of creation. Internal Messaging: Messages are never stored on our server unless the recipient is offline. All messages are deleted after they have been sent. All chats, including undelivered messages and data on participants will be deleted two weeks after creation with no exception.

Data Disclosure

We will only disclose the limited user data we possess that has not yet expired if we receive notice from the law enforcement and/or authorities we are legally obligated to recognize. If a request is made for data on our server that is identifiable based on keywords and a location the content may be turned over. However this will only include the data we store, which will be limited to UUID, location, time, and text content. Unfortunately we may not notify the user of a request if we are under gag order. However the Warrant Canary under our Transparency Report will reflect this. LiveMap may from time to time, contest court orders if there is a public interest in doing so. In such situations, the Company will not comply with the court order until all legal or other remedies have been exhausted. Therefore, not all court orders described in our Transparency Report will lead to data disclosure.

Modifications to Privacy Policy

LiveMap reserves the right to periodically review and change this policy from time to time and we will notify users via social media and mobile notifications about changes to our Privacy Policy. Continued use of the Service will be deemed as acceptance of such changes.
